Northern Ireland Housing Executive Recognise Apprentice Achievements at Inaugural Awards

Northern Ireland Housing Executive held its inaugural Artes Apprentice Awards on Friday, 7th February, in the Crown Plaza Hotel.

Those attending heard from Housing Executive Chief Executive, Grainia Long, Director of Asset Management, Paul Isherwood, Gordon Parks, Executive Director, People and Culture, NIE Networks and Chair of the Green Skills Delivery Panel and Geraldine Gordon, CEO and Founder, Yfor.

The awards were then presented by Chair of the Housing Executive, Nicole Lappin.

Caoimhe Sherlock from CFM was awarded Apprentice of the Year and CFM received both the Employer of the Year and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion awards.

Director of Asset Management in the Housing Executive, Paul Isherwood said: “We are so pleased to be able to recognise the contribution of apprentices through these inaugural awards, particularly during Northern Ireland Apprenticeship Week.

“These awards honour the remarkable achievements in apprenticeship development that our inhouse Direct Labour Organisation and external contractors have supported through their commitment, guidance and mentorship.

“Congratulations to all our winners today and to all of those who were nominated. We were overwhelmed with the amount of nominations which show just how vital apprenticeships are to growing skills and expertise in our own construction industry.”
