We are passionate about investing in new talent through our Early Careers Programme.
The Early Careers Programme draws together all the different strands of, graduate and trainee programmes, apprenticeships, work experience and placement opportunities provided by the Housing Executive.
If you are interested in applying for an apprenticeship with NIHE you can register via our online portal GetGot™ Portal – Ireland, Northern Ireland and UK jobs, recruitment and careers, the best site for NI jobs (getgotjobs.co.uk) to receive email alerts when apprenticeships are advertised.
We look for graduates, trainees, apprentices and placement students of the highest calibre who are skilled, ambitious and motivated, who share our values, and who have the potential to take on challenging responsibilities and make a significant contribution to the business.
We have a long established track record in providing opportunities for excellent career development, as well as personal growth through on the job training, further education, coaching and mentoring.
We work in partnership with local schools, colleges, universities and training providers to maximise apprenticeship, work placement, graduate and trainee opportunities and advertise opportunities widely through various recruitment channels including local and province-wide press, on-line and the job centre.

Meet the trainees
A significant number of staff within the Housing Executive started out in a trainee programme of some sort, and many of them have progressed to more senior roles following their training.
