What is anti-social behaviour?

Anti-social behaviour covers a wide range of unacceptable activity that may cause harm to an individual, to their community or to their environment. This could be an action by someone else that leaves you feeling alarmed, harassed or distressed and impacts your quality of life.

Anti-social behaviour might include, amongst other things:

• Violence or threats of violence
• Hate behaviour that targets members of identified groups because of their perceived differences eg race,m religion, political affiliation, disabilities or sexual orientation
• Noise nuisance eg rowdy parties, loud music/TV, dogs barking etc
• Arguing and slamming doors
• Environmental issues eg litter, dog fouling, graffiti, fly tipping, nuisance vehicles
• Offensive drunkenness
• Using dwelling for unlawful purposes eg using/selling drugs
• Intimidation and harassment
