Cavity Wall Insulation Action Plan

The Housing Executive has developed a Cavity Wall Insulation action plan

The action plan to tackle defective and non-existent cavity wall insulation in our homes has been developed by the Housing Executive.

Cavity wall insulation installed in homes across the UK in the 1980’s and 90’s has been a major concern across all housing sectors, not just those homes in the social housing sector.

A major research project, which began in 2017, identified that 63% of Housing Executive properties were not compliant with current cavity wall insulation standards.

Feedback gathered as part of a three month public consultation process has been examined, in conjunction with the research findings, to assist in the production of the final action plan.
